Lady GaGa pulled out all the stops at Sunday’s VMA awards. She began, tame enough, with a renaissance dress complete with military entourage. To collect her award fro “Best Pop Video”, Gaga changed into a black flowing gown.

Both dresses were designed by the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

She saved the best for last. A dress made entirely of raw red meat, that’s right…RAW meat! The outfit was topped off with a slab of bloody meat laying on her head. A bikini version of the gown was unveiled on Japanese Vogue, prompting an instant uproar from animal rights activists. GaGa wore the controversial piece despite the furor, Surprise!

The gorgeous Sofia Vergara claims to have made good on a promise to run nude down Sunset Boulevard after she and her Modern Family co-stars accepted the Emmy for best hit comedy. No one saw the streaker, but fellow Modern Family star, Julie Bowen told People Magazine, “When we went back to the press room, she had made a left turn and we all made a right turn, so for about twenty minutes, she was missing.” When she returned, Bowen says Vergara replied that she “went to run nude down Sunset Boulevard. No one was there. So I did it. It’s over…no one said I had to do it at a certain time.”

The stunning gold gown she apparently stripped out of was a ravishing floor-length dress by Carolina Herrera. She easily took home the best dressed award as well as the Emmy.

This season’s hottest trend is a new take on the one-shoulder dress that has been so popular in seasons past. This Fall, instead of one shoulder strap, it’s one sleeve! That’s right, an entire sleeve on one side, and a bare shoulder/arm on the other!

The Tony Awards red carpet was invaded by Hollywood celebrities last night. Stars like Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Watts, and Will and Jada Smith made the best-dressed list. Catherine Zeta-Jones seemed to blow them all away in her light blue Versace gown. She also blew us all away when she accepted her award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical and thanked hubby Michael Douglas by saying:

“See that man over there? He’s a movie star, and I get to sleep with him every night.”

Two smokin’ hot celebs…one cool coral frock. Tyra Banks walked the red carpet in this Rachel Roy dress at the Daytime Emmy Awards back in September. Kim Kardashian donned the same one-shouldered gown at a cosmetic industry luncheon.

Tony Dovolani, partner to the infamous Kate Gosslin on Season 10 of Dancing With the Stars, recently took a modeling gig with gown designer Sherri Hill. In March, the dancing Dovolani participated in a photo shoot with some of America’s most beautiful beauty queens.

Nicole Johnson-Miss California USA 2010, Audrey Moore-Miss Alabama USA 2010, Morgan Woolard-Miss Oklahoma USA 2010, and Alyssa Campanella-Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2008 joined Tony in advertising shots. Many of which were dancing poses.

The season finale of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars ended exactly the way we all imagined it would, with Nicole and Derek kissing the mirror ball trophy. It was no surprise that Evan Lysaceck took the second spot and Erin Andrews fell short of the final two all together.

Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and her pro, Derek Hough, were extremely deserving of the honor though. All season, the pair have been the front-runners and the finale on Monday night sealed the deal. Nicole and Derek performed an awesome freestyle routine with a mixture of dance styles included. No one even remembers that there was a flop at the end…the lift didn’t quite take off.

Freestyle routines (the most anticipated portion of the finale for me) from the other contenders were not as exciting. Erin and Maks bounced around on a bed and called it contemporary dancing, while Evan made a mess of a classic tune, Footloose. Judge Bruno Tonioli described it as “screw loose.”

I must say, finale disasters aside…this season 10 of DWTS has been the best so far. Can’t wait to see what the fall season has in store.
