CB’s Limited is proud to announce the 2009 Night Moves prom dresses are posted and for sale. Although prom sales typically do not kick in until the first of the year, Night Moves is getting a head start and putting these pictures out early. Here is one of our early favorites below.

Style 5840 is simply stunning! A strapless, charmeuse satin dress has a sweetheart neckline that is edged with ruffled lace. The bodice is ruched throughout with the same ruffled lace accents. A gorgeous crystal brooch adorns the bodice as well. The slim skirt and zipper back closure complete this style.

All of the prom and formal dress lines that Tony Bowls designs are now up for sale on cbslimited.  There is a TON of new stuff that will be showing up soon at proms across the country.  If you plan on ordering a dress from one of these vendors, you might want to do it sooner than later.  Last year, this stuff was so popular, 95% of these dresses could not be purchased for any price by the end of March.  They were sold out and the factory could not make more quick enough.  Here are some sample pictures:

There are about 250 styles in total!  Prices range from about $230 all the way up to $800.  MOST of these gowns in sizes 0-16, with a few going up to 20 and 16.  Not to sound too much like a sales pitch here, but if you order early enough, you can get any style in any color and any size.  If it is out of stock or they didn’t make it in your size, they will make one for you!  (it does take about 12 weeks though)

Day number two of Night Moves previews!  We received a DVD with a ton of images that will be advertised in Teen Prom, Seventeen Prom and Cosmo Girl Prom.  If you have never heard if Night Moves, they are a newer line for prom, but are produced by Allure Bridals, which is an established name in the wedding dress industry.  Since we starting carrying Night Moves prom a few years ago, they have quickly become one of the top lines in the country!  The entire 2009 line, including Allure Evenings, should be posted and for sale on CB’s by next week or sooner.

Naomi Harris (far left) went to The End of Summer Ball at Berkeley Square in London in a Faviana dress last week!  You probably will not recognize her from the picture, but she was voodoo lady who lived in the swamp in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.  Naomi is wearing Faviana style 5801 which is a chiffon dress with a ruched waist and rhinestone strap detail.  This gown is available for $238 in sizes 2-6 in Emerald, Ivory, Red and Turq Stone for immediate shipping.

Paris by Tony Bowls has released their images early this year!  New styles are already posted and available for pre-order.  Prints are going to be huge this year as most manufacturers have made many dresses with traditional, conservative, and far out there designs.  Whether you are looking for a print, short dress, hot dresses, or a super sexy low back, Paris is sure to have a dress for you.

We have another leaked photo from the 2009 Sherri Hill prom line.  This is style 3021 in what they are calling “turq animal print.”  We think it will only be available in this color, sizes 0-14 for around $250 retail.  It will not be shipping until January 30th.

The pictures are starting to roll in for the new season! Today our Sherri Hill rep has leaked us a few images in this adorable cocktail dress from last year that is now available in two new colors, Royal/Turq, and Turq/Brown.

Retail prices is going to be around $300 and available in sizes 0-12. The Pink/Green color from last year will be returning also, and these should start shipping in about 6-8 weeks!

There are more and more e-commerce sites popping up for Prom dresses every day. Those of you browsing the web to search for that special dress for your upcoming prom are having a tougher time knowing who is a legitimate and trusted retailer. We have all heard horror stories of customers being sent copies of popular styles, or even having a retailer take payment and never send the customer the item(s) they ordered. As retailers, we would often hear that a potential customer called a particular vendor of ours to “check” our credentials. Many of retailers in the industry realized that shopping for a Prom dress should not be such a “scary” ordeal. Realizing this, an association of trusted Prom retailers was formed to help give the public confidence in the prom buying process. The Prom Websites Association is a growing group of valued retailers in the Prom and formal wear industry. The retailers on the list must pass a strict set of rules before being approved as a member of the association. All members must have been in business AT LEAST 5 years (most have been in business over 10 years), and must have a “brick and mortar” establishment that accepts walk in customers. Other mandatory criteria included below:

Membership Criteria
Websites must:

• Be authorized dealers of the designers they sell on their website
• Be a member of BBB (Better Business Bureau) online
• Use Scan Alert or similar hacker prevention
• Have an SSL certificate
• Use Secure Server to process credit cards
• Allow customers to place online orders
• Allow customers to speak to a customer service representative by phone
• Sell new, authentic merchandise
• Provide customers with a delivery timeframe in accordance with their special event wear date
• Provide a tracking number for their shipment
• Have a physical store
• Have been in business a minimum of 5 years
• Be in good standing with their wholesalers and customers
• Complete the application process and be accepted by the association

Members that fall below this criterion or who have credible complaints are removed.
