It’s hard for me to discard the images from an interview, some 7 years ago, where a blatant and belligerent Whitney Houston proclaimed that she and Bobby (Brown) didn’t do cocaine. In an attempt to clear her name, Whitney’s babble only made matters worse.
“First of all, let’s get one thing straight. Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack. Let’s get that straight. Okay? We don’t do crack. We don’t do that. Crack is whack.” Houston to Diane Sawyer, 2002.
Are you serious? You make too much money to do crack? Comments from the high-class addict only ignited the firestorm surrounding her. The singing sensation would receive elevated exposure and constant condemnation in the years to come for that infamous remark.
But now, in 2009, Whitney attempts a comeback. A new album, I Look To You and appearances on the Oprah show and Good Morning America should give the comeback a promising attempt. It “should” be a promising attempt…Whitney on GMA (skip to 3 mins, 30 seconds): Me and Bobby’s baby.

That is pitiful. “Me and Bobby’s baby?” Give me a break! Yeah, the kid is cute and all, but giving her a solo and a shout-out to her ex-husband during your supposed comeback concert…not cute at all.
Good Luck Whitney.

The fall season of Dancing With The Stars announced its latest victims on August 17th to Good Morning America. Among the cast of sixteen is 24-year-old Brit, Kelly Osbourne. Below, Kelly heads to practice for her latest gig.

Among other accolades, the Osbourne is classified as singer, actress and media personality. Daughter to rock icon, Ozzy Osbourne (perhaps best known for biting the heads off birds) and t.v. personality Sharon Osbourne, Kelly got her start at the age of 16. The first-ever “celebrity reality” TV show, “The Osbournes,” featured her famous family and won anem an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Reality Program” in 2002.
It will be interesting to see if Kelly is the first celeb to break a bone, twist a ligament or pass out on live television. The suspense is killing you, I am sure.

The search for a killer is over. The only suspect in the murder of Jasmine Fiore was found dead in a Canada motel room on Sunday. Ryan Jenkins, husband of the slain supermodel, had been on the run since Jasmine’s mutilated body was found last week in a dumpster in Buena Park, California. He committed suicide by hanging himself in the motel room.
The hotel manager says Jenkins was checked in by a young blond woman who stayed with Jenkins for about twenty minutes after they checked in and then left. When Jenkins did not check out on Sunday morning, the manager went into his room and found the suspected murderer hanging from a coat rack on the wall of the motel room.
Lt. Steve Holliday of Buena Park PD addressed the press, saying, “The sadness of this is all is that Mr. Jenkins will not stand before an Orange County jury for his crime.”

The mother of two showed off her bangin’ beach body at Marina Del Ray over the weekend, on several occasions. Britney basked in the sun by the pool with her sons, donning a new bikini each day. Looks like the princess of pop is back with a bang!

As twisted and demented as it may sound, that is the buzz about Hollywood since the 48-year-old D-lister showed up to the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night with 19-year-old Levi Johnston by her side. On the red carpet, the pair held hands, whispered to each other and even made reference to their relationship as long-distance “lovers”.
“Long-distance relationships are not easy, especially when he’s in his igloo and I’m in my Hollywood tower,” said Griffin.
Is this for real? Has Kathy Griffin become queen of the cougars by snaggin Bristol Palin’s baby-daddy? Or more likely, is this just another putrid attempt to drag out the teen father’s fifteen minutes of fame? Griffin did say that their appearance was not just a stunt and was not being filmed for her reality series, My Life on the D-List.

Joan Rivers is at it again. Seems the botoxed blonde is only about starting fights lately. This time, Joan has called out Brooke Shields, saying her weepy speech at Michael Jackson’s memorial was less about remembering her “dearest friend” and more about getting some serious “face time.”
A very tearful Shields recalled her fondest memories of Michael at his memorial last month. The actress also said that the two of them shared a special bond, growing up as child stars.
FYI: Brooke hadn’t seen Micheal since 1991.

Kevin Federline has maintained a relatively quiet life since Britney, but over the weekend, the former rapper/back-up dancer was in Vegas shooting scenes for his very own upcoming reality series.
The premise of this ridiculous reality show revolves around Federline and his life as a father to four kids. He has two sons with Spears — Jayden, 2 1/2, and Preston, 4 — as well as two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.
Are you kidding me? Who cares what the overweight, washed-up wannabe does on a daily basis? And his life as a father? He takes along a babysitter when he keeps his own kids!

Poor Jessica, as if her very public break-up with Tony Romo wasn’t tough enough, she’s gone and pissed off the Native Americans. Earlier this week, Jessica was asked if she would take back the pricey boat that she bought for former boy-toy Tony. She hastily responded with a no, saying, “I’m not an Indian giver.”
Her loaded response has ignited a racial controversy, offending Native Americans across the country.
Jacqueline L. Pata, the executive director of the National Congress of American Indians, explained that the phrase originated from the idea of native people giving and sharing with one another but that over time it has transformed into a prejudiced phrase that implies Native Americans give and revoke gifts.
“Most people flippantly use the comment ‘Indian giver,’ without realizing its true meaning…this is both incorrect in the way most people use it, and culturally insensitive to Native people, she said.”
Buck up Jess, this too will pass. Go shopping or something, you’ll feel better.

Who knew a split in your swimwear could make you more aerodynamic? US Swimmer Ricky Berens proved just that Monday after helping the United States take the gold medal at the World Swimming Championships in Rome.

Berens’ wardrobe malfunction, caused by a pre-swim stretch, has suddenly caught the attention of the swimming world again. Michael who?
We can only hope that there will be some new, butt-baring wetsuits fashioned after this blunder!

The predicted spectacle/memorial service for the King of Pop was surprisingly somber and respectful. Celebrities, close friends and Michael’s family spent over two hours paying homage to the fallen star. Tens of thousands of celebrities and fans filled L.A.’s Staples Center for the service.

The speakers/singers include: Ron Boyd (family friend), Kobe Bryant, Mariah Carey, Andrae Crouch Choir, Berry Gordy, Jennifer Hudson, Shaheen Jafargholi (finalist on Britain’s Got Talent), Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, Bernice A. King, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Brooke Shields, Pastor Lucious Smith (family friend), Usher and Stevie Wonder.
Michael Jackson’s only daughter, 11-year-old Paris Michael Katherine, ended the service with an emotional speech at her father’s memorial service — saying he was the “best father you could ever imagine. I love him so much.”
